gingerBill Search
2007–2014

The on-again-off-again project for an "intelligent" software assistant. information from numerous websites and displays it in an easy to view experience.

The initial version was created by and named after (the vain git) me, Ginger Bill, in 2007 as a front-end wrapper for Google. It just gathered the results from Google and extracted the most relevant information. Google now does a very similar thing but it did not at the time.

In the autumn of 2012 as a little project, I tried to create a replacement to popular Software Assistants but not a fully fledge search engine. Mainly because I wanted something that could be extensible and to learn how to do it.

The project is not available at the moment due to numerous reasons but it will probably be back in some form or another.
